multiple intelligences and multimedia

Before I read about Multiple Intelligences, I did not know that much things about this topic, or  their enormous effect on the productivity of students. As I was introduced to the topic it made me think about our level of intelligence, but then I realized it was completely different. I found many facts related to this topic attention-grabbing and very informative. While I was reading I was thinking about some teachers that I have had in the past whose class was not successful. What I realized during the text was that they did not lack any knowledge about their subject, but the reason behind that was that they did not know how to make us learn better.   This was related to multiple intelligences discovered by Howard Gardner.   Multiple intelligences mean that each of us has different ways of learning things, and we do not belong only to a category, but we might belong to a combination of them. Project Based Learning

Project Based Learning, at the first sight when I read this term it gave me the idea that it referred to learning which is based on projects. This term made me think especially of one of the times when I had an important project on Gender issues, where we were in competition with other schools in America, Spain etcetera trying to get the first place. It is a good way to teach those key skills that we mentioned when we had the first lecture, which refer to critical thinking, collaboration, time management and communication. This method in my opinion is quite helpful and ent...

A reflection on my own multimedia sources

Hello guys, today I will talk about my own experience as a teacher last week  related to the multimedia elements. From that day and on, there have been some students who ask me about the technological sources that I used in my lesson. If you want to get a clear idea on that, I suggest you to read this post and here you will get what you were asking for.  Maybe it is too late you might think to write about it as it has passed some days but I cannot forget that moment as it was too special for me. My topic was in grammar and the first impression that you get when you have to explain grammar, or learn it is like ugh it will be very boring and too much information at the same time. As our subject is on how to apply multimedia technology in second language teaching, I will show you the way how I put this theory in practice. To be honest, it took me a while to think in details about that, but I think in the end it was worth the time. During the whole subject that we are still in p...
